Marigold: Stability Analysis

Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) is grown through the world. Genotype-environment interactions pose a major problem in developing new cultivars and choosing suitable cultivars for specific location, making it difficult to identify the most desirable genotype. Identification of high yielding and stable varieties will also help for successful commercial cultivation. This book deals with study of promising marigold genotypes with respect to their stability for growth, flowering, yield and quality parameters across the different environments. This may act as practical guide for the breeders and flower growers.

Dr. Balaji S. Kulkarni, is a Professor and Head, Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, K.R.C. College of Horticulture, Arabhavi-591 218(India). He has more than 100 research papers, 10 books to his credit and has guided 21 students as chairman for Master/Ph.D. He has 18 years experience in teaching,research and extension.
