Response of Maize (Zea mays L.) to Farmyard Manure and Gypsum Treated

This paper is prepared with the general objective of investigating the efficacy of combined application of different rates of farmyard manure and gypsum and leaching with different pore volume of water in improving exchangeable Na related problems, increasing growth parameters and dry matter yield of maize crop grown in saline-sodic soils of Bisidimo area, Eastern lowlands of Ethiopia. This will be used as reference for students, researchers and policy makers.

Assefa Adane, the author was born in March 1963 in North Gondar, Dabat town of Amhara region. He then attended his primary and secondary Education at Dabat primary and senior secondary school. He is currently a an assistant professor in Kotebe metropolitan university.
